LOLOMA TANTRA – A Festival of Love, Heartfulness and Egoless Collaboration

Loloma in Fijian means love. Tantra is a sanskrit word which means to “loom and weave”.

“The essence of tantra is about being who we truly are; the biggest, fullest, richest version of ourselves. One’s true nature is already free and it’s only a matter of realising this. Tantra is the pathway – marrying spiritual freedom and awakening with worldly enjoyment, participation and prosperity. Accepting, loving and embracing all aspects of self – free of judgement.” Louise Claire – Organiser

Combining these two words gives rise to the “Loloma Tantra Festival” to be held at the Fiji Beachouse in Korolevu on 7th and 8th June. This holistic festival is the brainchild of Louise, a New Zealand-born yoga and wellness coach, who lived and ran a business in Nadi teaching yoga and empowerment for 2 years. She is co-creating it with two local wellness pioneers Ilana Burness (Ilana’s Heart Yoga) and Marilyn Cornelius (Alchemus Prime). They are excited to bring this first festival of it’s kind to Fiji Islands and will offer a smorgasbord of workshops and wellness sessions from hatha yoga, raw foods demonstration, healthy relating, meditation to mindful dance.

There will be 10 leading edge facilitators from 7 countries teaching at Loloma and tickets are on sale at $100 for students and $145 for other locals. This is an over 18 age event which is absolutely alcohol and drug free.

What can locals expect at the event? They will be offered fun and informative sessions starting on Friday afternoon with an opening guided meditation by Marilyn and meditative yoga session with Ilana, then the art of healthy relationships – (what we didn’t learn growing up but should have), followed by a celebration ceremony including heart opening cacao and DJ dance session.

Activities on Saturday will range from hatha yoga, effectively setting wellness goals, dance, breathwork, raw food demonstration, thought field therapy and an exciting conversation moderated by Business Coaching Fiji (Tobi Nagy) called the “Heart of Business” with a few local entrepreneurs sharing their Heartful journeys in business and how they’ve integrated mindfulness and soul with making money.

The “Loloma Tantra Festival” will bring together Fijians and International guests and facilitators who together work from an egoless space, allowing for networking, collaboration, education and overall, a celebration of life, love, and health. This is an inclusive event for all, including people with disabilities and the LGBTQIA community, and we have a clear no-discrimination policy.

Come on down and enjoy the activities. It’s going to be a fun weekend of workshops, learning and meeting new people.
